Description
Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Samsung through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions (AGS). If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Samsung
Summary:
Key Responsibilities
- Perform interoperability (Interop/IODT) testing with device chipset vendors and partners for new feature validation on 4G/5G RAN products
- Execute system, air interface, end-to-end performance, and call processing validation activities
- Conduct lab-based IODT testing with chipset partners and generate detailed test reports and customer presentations
- Analyze product and feature requirements; develop and execute system test cases to ensure compliance with customer specifications
- Support product and feature performance analysis, including evaluation of new hardware/software releases
- Perform detailed analysis of 4G/5G wireless protocol logs and troubleshoot complex network/product issues
- Validate and optimize network parameters, test strategies, and feature performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, logistics, Samsung HQ, and SEA teams for successful product rollouts and developments
- Educate customers on Samsung products, features, and services in both individual and team settings
- Ensure customer deliverables and commitments are completed according to project plans
- Support EMS/network element management activities, software upgrades, and MOP verification
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field required
- 8–10 years of relevant wireless/RAN testing experience required; Master’s Degree with 6+ years preferred
- Strong understanding of wireless communication systems with emphasis on PHY, MAC, RLC, RRC, and PDCP layers
- Strong knowledge of 4G/5G air interface, call processing technologies, and Radio Access Network (RAN) architecture
- Experience with feature validation, system testing, troubleshooting, performance analysis, and test strategy development
- Hands-on experience with lab testing and IODT/interoperability testing preferred
- Understanding of 3GPP systems, including Core and RAN networks
- Familiarity with ongoing 3GPP Release activities is an asset
- Knowledge of IoT technologies including eMTC, NB-IoT, S1, and X2 interfaces
- Experience with EMS systems, network element management, software upgrades, and operational procedures
- Understanding of both hardware and software architectures
- Experience with protocol analysis and RF test tools such as XCAL, QXDM, Wireshark, Channel Emulators, Spectrum Analyzers, and Signal Generators
- Software development experience is considered an asset
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and customer-facing skills
- Ability to travel occasionally based on project requirements

- Pay Range*: $55 - $59 Per/hr
- Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
