Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Samsung through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions (AGS). If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Samsung

 

Summary:


The main function of a marketing manager is to lead the research market conditions in local, regional, or national areas to determine potential sales of a product or service. A typical marketing manager is responsible for gathering information on competitors and methods of marketing and distribution.

This role is a mix of:
• Always-on Social Strategy: Our social channels celebrate those who are proud to carve their own path and stand tall in their decisions. We celebrate the people, their stories and how their Galaxy devices help them effortlessly be themselves. You will bring that vision to life with always-on purposeful themes showcasing the human benefit of our products.
• Boots on the Ground Content Creation: Bringing Samsung IRL activations to the phones of our followers in real-time, showcasing Samsung in culturally relevant moments.

This role is heavily reliant on cross-functional collaboration between SEA Mobile eXperience (MX) Marketing team (Creative Services, Partnerships, Influencers, Product Marketing, IMT, etc), Suwon and SEA MX leadership to align global and local strategies. This role will report directly to the Head of Mobile Marketing Social & Communities as part of the MX Marketing organization.

Social Media Strategy and Execution
• Contributes to our Social Media strategy and direction, based on experience on what’s driving this fast-moving space.
• Executes an always-on social media content strategy aligned to brand voice, campaign priorities, and audience needs.
• Reviews produced social media content with internal stakeholders prior to posting.
• Develops and reviews with leadership content calendars (weekly/monthly/quarterly) showcasing social themes and detailed posting schedule.
• Optimizes posts for reach and engagement using best practices (copy, hashtags/keywords, timing, CTAs, format selection).
• Researches and identifies insights, trends, and opportunities to elevate social content.
• Monitor social trends, platform updates, and audience engagement to inform content strategies.
• Ensure all content and captions adhere to brand guidelines and maintains a consistent brand voice and aesthetic.
• Analyze performance metrics and provide recommendations for ongoing improvement.

Digital Content Development
• Build social-first, storytelling programming and content series that showcase stories showcasing the features and benefits of Samsung devices.
• On-the ground content capture, edit and post aligned with our brand and social guidelines.
• Think fast and create faster, jumping on cultural moments while they're still peaking.
• Stay curious about internet trends, formats, and behaviors, and know which ones are worth chasing.
• Attend live event activations as “boots on the ground” with live content capture and real-time posting.

Performance, Analytics & Optimization
• Tracks and reports on performance using platform analytics.
• Delivers insights on what’s working and recommend improvements (content type, cadence, audience targeting, creative formats).
• Provides monthly reporting with KPIs, key learnings, and recommendations.

Minimum Qualifications
• 8-10 years work experience with 5-7 years of organic social media experience supporting a large-scale brand, with a focus on organic social strategy and content creation.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience creating social content from concept through execution.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
• Strong working knowledge of all social platforms, with a strong focus on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
• Deep understanding of platform-specific creative formats.
• Experience using social management and creative tools preferred, including Sprinklr and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to take ideas from concept to production with a hands-on, execution-focused approach.
• Compelling online portfolio showcasing creative versatility, conceptual thinking, and strong execution across social platforms.
• Willingness to work occasional weekends and travel for events for behind the scenes content capture and real-time posting.
• Strong understanding of social performance metrics and the ability to use insights to inform content optimization.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Self-driven, adaptable, and collaborative with strong written, verbal, and analytical communication skills.
• Experience reacting quickly to cultural moments and translating them into relevant social content.
• Strong understanding of design principles, creative workflows, and feedback-driven iteration
• Proactive communicator and problem solver with a strong sense of ownership.
• Candidates must submit a portfolio or social handles showcasing relevant social content work.

  • Pay Range*: $52-$57
  • Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
  • Job Status: Non-Exempt
