Role Summary
- Analyze large volumes of logistics and transportation data using TMS (Transportation Management System) and WMS (Warehouse Management System)
- Support delivery performance, sales goals, and customer satisfaction
- Work cross-functionally with: Supply chain planners, Logistics teams, Transportation operations, Customer management teams
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor shipments and resolve in-transit issues proactively
- Adjust daily and upcoming logistics plans as needed
- Lead or support transportation and freight optimization projects
- Manage and negotiate: Transportation costs, Freight contracts and rates, Storage and distribution costs
- Work with 3PL vendors to resolve issues and complaints
- Develop and track KPIs for: On-time delivery, Inventory management, Product quality
- Perform data analysis to improve cost efficiency and service levels
- Manage multiple systems and tasks (daily/weekly/monthly operations)
- Provide ad-hoc support (reports, documentation) across teams: Sales, finance, supply chain, executives, regulatory
Operations & Problem Solving
- Identify and solve routine logistics issues using data insights
- Make decisions based on cost vs. service impact
- Recommend improvements to enhance logistics performance
- Maintain organization while handling multiple projects simultaneously
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Knowledge of logistics operations and transportation processes
- Strong communication (written & verbal)
- Ability to collaborate with teams including remote stakeholders
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management skills
Additional Details:
- Location: Santa Ana, CA
- Duration: 12 Months
- Pay Range*: $30 - $34/Hr
- Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
- Job Status: Non-Exempt
